Site and Facility Design -

optimizing the use of space effectively

Case Study: Amiko Aquawalk, canine hydrotherapy centre

Effective design ensures that the site layout and facilities are tailored to meet the specific needs of the project, enhancing functionality, efficiency, and productivity. Upon entering the canine hydrotherapy centre of Amiko Aquawalk, customers can easily reach the reception within a few steps, making it highly accessible. The area in front of the reception serves as the gait walking zone, where canines engage in their first activity during check-in. The two main facilities—the canine hydro pool and the underwater treadmill—are positioned to face the reception from different angles, allowing both the customers and the staff to have clear views. A shower bin is conveniently located between the hydro pool and the underwater treadmill, providing easy access for both facilities. The hydro pool system is discreetly installed underground for optimal aesthetics, while still allowing for effective maintenance. Additionally, toilet facilities and lockers are also situated underground for convenient access. Behind the reception, there is a small resting area for the staff and the canines. A staircase on the other side leads to a lower floor designed for multiple purposes, including dog training, a waiting area, and community seminars.
